Obesity can be a cause of increased levels of triglycerides in the blood. Excessive levels of triglycerides in the blood may increase the risk of buildup or precipitation of triglycerides in blood vessel walls that can lead to atheroscleresis. The study was an analytic survey with cross-sectional design. The population in this study were 40 respondents by using the total sampling method. Samples were measured using a UV-Vis Spectrophotometer method (Glycerol Posfat Oxidase-The Amino Antipyrine) GPO-PAP. This study showed that of 40 respondents with obesity body mass index, 10 respondents (25%) had abnormal triglyceride levels and 30 respondents (75%) had triglyceride levels still in normal condition. Spearman correlation test obtained value (p=0.433), p>α then it can be taken decision there is no significant relationship between triglyceride levels in obese students. Most respondents had normal levels of triglycerides, and a small proportion of the triglycerides were abnormal. There was no significant association between obese students and triglyceride levels, it can be concluded that there was no significant relationship between obese students and triglyceride levels.
